With Catalog Doctor you can diagnose and validate the data objects in a catalog.
In the Catalog Doctor window, there are four tabs: Connection, Tables and Fields, Formulas, and Queries.
Clicking each tab, you can get the respective checking page: Connection page, Tables and Fields page, Formulas page and Queries page. Each page can check one kind of Data object. Checking for each page will be conducted under the following conditions:
Connection
Allows you to modify the connection with advanced options.
Tables and Fields
Checks if the raw table/view of the mapped table/view exists in the database. It
also checks if the raw column of the DB-Field exists in the database. If it exists,
then checks if the stored information such as SQL date type matches the raw column in
the database.
Formulas
Checks if formulas and summaries have correct syntax.
Queries
Checks if the mapped tables/views referred to by the query exist in the catalog.
