The queue is the set of reports, both scheduled and on-demand, that JReport Enterprise Server is running or about to run. Queue control has been exposed to the report administrator in this release.
The queue contains three separate categories of reports:
- Running tasks, reports already running
- Waiting tasks, reports waiting to be run at normal priority
- Accelerated tasks, reports waiting to be run at higher priority than normal
Each list of tasks is accessed through a new page in the Administrative Console named Queue:
Using this page, the report administrator can perform the following actions:
- View the status of running tasks and pause or delete them if necessary.
- View the waiting tasks list and change the priority of tasks on it, including moving a task to the accelerated task list.
- View the accelerated tasks list and change the priority of tasks on it, including demoting a task to the waiting tasks list.
