Government
Federal, state, and local government agencies rely on always-available information in order to cut operating expenses, comply with regulatory requirements, and optimize service delivery. JReport helps agencies achieve these goals and satisfy requirements set forth by the OMB and GAO for enterprise IT initiatives. Reduced Operating Expenses
As government agencies upgrade and standardize their enterprise IT systems, they are actively seeking technologies that can leverage existing infrastructure to minimize additional spending. Because JReport is 100% J2EE, it integrates seamlessly into any IT environment, helping agencies maximize existing IT investments. In addition, embedding JReport enables agencies to enhance the value of their application by allowing users to access application data effortlessly, improving user productivity. JReport also empowers agencies to further cut operating expenses by facilitating a Web-based report environment that can access data from any data source and eliminate traditional paper-based reports. Regulatory Requirements
JReport enables government agencies to create and share reports via the Web, helping to promote compliance with the Government Paperwork Elimination Act of 1998 and current e-government initiatives. Section 508 compliance issues are also addressed by JReport's flexibility and ease of use, which helps make reporting technology accessible to people with disabilities. Service Delivery
The ability to deliver information on demand, to both internal and external audiences, is crucial to an agency's ability to optimize service delivery. With JReport, information is available via the Web when it is needed, and reports can be scheduled for delivery via email in virtually any format. For an audience that needs to drill down, sort, filter or otherwise navigate data to access more details, JReport automatically makes it possible to analyze any report with a single click.
